I started by buying the '6" Sony Touch' at BestBuy, but had some problems with it and returned it.
I then bought a "refurbished kindle" from Amazon, not realizing (and they didn't say), it was the USA Only version with Sprint, and had a horrid battery life. I had to charge it every day, so I called them complaining, and they said I should return it and buy the "international k2" version, which I did.
I liked the Kindle so I bought an orange neoprene sleeve for it, and have it to this date.
Sony started shipping their 7" Daily Reader, so I bought one, and liked it, but wanted to order magazines, and newspapers and they never came with any variety. So I sold it, and am waiting on the iPad release.
Deal breaker for me would be:
1. It must allow me to run the kindle software that I use on my iPhone.
2. They must have newspapers, it appears that they do.
3. I must be able to run my iPhone apps on the iPad, I hope without additional charges.
4. I have spreadsheets on my iPhone I use with "Docs to Go", I want them to work on the iPad.
5. I will happily buy the spreadsheet and word processing software for the iPad at 9.99 each, no problem.
6. I must be able to print from it using my network printer.
7. I don't know which one I want to buy, I don't intent to use 3g with it.
